I have to choose between two October activities.
A 12 x 14 canvas tent (with wood stove), using big old cameras to shoot pictures in Yellowstone and the Tetons.
…or…
A week in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (same set-up as above).
Either way, I lose. The developer tank is half empty.
I’m taking advice and serious counsel.
Respectfully submitted,
Canoelover
P.S. Another alternative is the Slate Islands. Arrgh.
I don’t think there’s a real question here. It’s the BWCA, of course. Or the Slates as long as it involves a kayak crossing. If the later is true, then the Slates win hands down.
Well…it’s a canoe trip if we stay in the Midwest. No bad choices here. We’re travelling heavy (medium and large format equipment (and a few digital cameras)). Kayaks are out of the question for this trip.
I vote for the BWCA! I was there for a week in September for my honeymoon. In at Moose River, out at Mudrow. 61.5 miles (approx) paddled and portaged. 🙂 Good luck with your choice! Either way you will have a great trip. Saw tons of birds, although many had migrated. And saw a moose, grouse, and other critters. Cannot WAIT to go back someday!
My vote would definitely be for Yellowstone and the Tetons.
